Senior General Coordinator, Recreational Sports

Recreational Sports provides opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to engage in physical activities to create healthy lifestyle habits. Positions are typically involved with open recreation, fitness, aquatics, intramural sports, sport clubs, venture out, and youth programs.

Individual contributor roles are reflected in the Academic Administration, Development, General Administration, Technical/STEM, and C1-C4 of the Clinical tracks.

Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator for Recreational Sports is responsible for overseeing the development and management of a broad range of recreational programs and services, including fitness, aquatics, intramural sports, and sport clubs. With a focus on fostering an active and healthy campus community, the Senior General Coordinator will take a leadership role in planning and implementing programs that engage students, faculty, and staff in physical activities. They will also collaborate with university departments and student organizations to ensure that recreational services align with the broader wellness and health goals of the institution. This role requires a high level of independence, as the Senior General Coordinator will be expected to make key decisions regarding program execution, budget management, and staffing. They will also be responsible for analyzing program effectiveness and making improvements to enhance user experience. The position involves mentoring and providing guidance to junior coordinators and staff, ensuring that all recreational activities run smoothly and efficiently. This is a senior-level individual contributor position, where the coordinator will leverage their expertise and experience to lead teams, manage complex projects, and support the continued growth of the recreational sports offerings on campus.
