Athletic Training prevents, examines, diagnoses, and treats muscle and bone injuries on athletes. Athletic trainers provide emergency care, diagnosis, and injury recovery and rehabilitation.

Position Summary

The General Coordinator for Athletic Training plays a pivotal role in supporting the athletic training department, ensuring that student-athletes receive comprehensive care for injuries, rehabilitation, and recovery. This position involves coordinating daily operations, managing athletic training schedules, and assisting in the development of injury prevention programs. The General Coordinator will work closely with athletic trainers, coaches, and sports medicine professionals to ensure that training services are efficiently delivered to enhance the health and well-being of student-athletes. The role also includes monitoring inventory, ensuring proper maintenance of equipment, and assisting in the allocation of resources for athletic training needs. Additionally, The General Coordinator for Athletic Training will contribute to the administrative aspects of the department, including assisting in compliance with relevant regulations, maintaining accurate records of treatments, and providing support for injury management programs. The position also involves helping with staffing logistics, training new personnel, and contributing to the coordination of interdisciplinary team efforts. With a focus on program delivery and departmental efficiency, the General Coordinator ensures the athletic training department operates smoothly, effectively supporting student-athletes' performance and health.
