Prospect Recruitment is the process through which college coaches increase their roster of prospective student athletes each off-season.

Manager: The positions work is achieved through the direction of others. Managers have direct accountability for setting goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Managerial positions are reflected in the M1-M3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.

Manager: Responsible for leading a team of professionals and/or support employees. Has full responsibility for team output. Focuses on implementing and executing strategies within their own department or team.

Position Summary

The General Manager for Prospect Recruitment plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the recruitment efforts for student-athletes across various athletic programs. This managerial position is responsible for overseeing the recruitment process, ensuring that the strategies align with the goals of the athletic department while maintaining compliance with NCAA regulations and university policies. The General Manager works closely with athletic coaches and the Student Athlete Services team to identify and attract high-quality recruits, manage the recruitment pipeline, and coordinate recruitment events and communications. In addition to overseeing the recruitment process, the General Manager leads a team of recruitment professionals and support staff, ensuring that recruitment goals are met efficiently and effectively. This role involves setting clear objectives, providing training and development opportunities, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring that the team is working in a collaborative and productive manner. The General Manager is also responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies, coordinating resources, and continuously evaluating the effectiveness of recruitment efforts to ensure the best outcomes for the university's athletic programs.
