Skill Acquisition and Analytics is the analysis of sports data, including components of sports such as player performance, business operations, and recruitment. The data offers an advantage to both individuals and teams participating in a competition and sports enterprises. Skill analytics uses the application of mathematical and statistical rules to sports.

Position Summary

The General Coordinator for Skill Acquisition and Analytics is responsible for utilizing data analysis to enhance the performance and operations of university athletic programs. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and interpreting sports data to assess player performance, evaluate team dynamics, and support recruitment strategies. By applying statistical and mathematical models to various aspects of athletics, including training, game strategy, and player health, the General Coordinator helps coaches and athletes make informed, data-driven decisions. The position also includes tracking trends and providing actionable insights that contribute to improved outcomes for student-athletes and the athletic department as a whole. In addition to data analysis, the General Coordinator collaborates with coaching staff, athletic trainers, and other stakeholders to identify key performance indicators and ensure that analytics are integrated into daily training routines and decision-making processes. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in data science, a deep understanding of athletic performance metrics, and the ability to translate complex data into practical recommendations. The General Coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining and updating analytical tools, conducting regular assessments of athletic programs, and supporting the development of strategies to optimize team performance through data-driven insights.
