General Coordinator, Pre-Award

Pre-Award constitutes anything related to grant management prior to the award being received. Pre-award activities typically include finding funding, budget creation, filling out proposal forms, submitting proposal forms, award negotiation and acceptance, and compliance consideration.

Position Summary

The General Coordinator for Pre-Award is responsible for supporting and coordinating all activities related to pre-award grant management, ensuring that the process is efficient, compliant, and aligned with the university’s strategic goals. This includes assisting in the identification of funding opportunities, preparing and reviewing budgets, completing proposal forms, and submitting them for approval. The General Coordinator also supports the negotiation and acceptance of awarded grants, ensuring compliance with both institutional and sponsor guidelines. This role is integral to the smooth functioning of the pre-award process, from finding funding opportunities to preparing all necessary documentation for submission. In addition to coordinating proposal submissions and budget creation, the General Coordinator for Pre-Award also works closely with faculty and other stakeholders to ensure that all compliance considerations are met prior to submission. They assist in maintaining accurate records of proposals and awards, contribute to developing and updating procedures for pre-award activities, and provide support for any follow-up actions needed once proposals are submitted. The role requires a balance of technical knowledge, organizational skills, and attention to detail to ensure that all processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
