Senior General Coordinator, Pre-Award

Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator for Pre-Award plays a pivotal role in overseeing and supporting the pre-award process for grants, acting as a subject matter expert and resource for faculty, researchers, and staff. This position involves managing the preparation, submission, and negotiation of grant proposals, ensuring compliance with all institutional and sponsor requirements. The Senior Coordinator is responsible for identifying funding opportunities, creating and reviewing budgets, completing proposal forms, and facilitating the proposal submission process. They work closely with various stakeholders to streamline workflows, provide guidance on compliance issues, and ensure that all pre-award tasks are carried out efficiently and accurately. In addition to coordinating pre-award activities, the Senior General Coordinator for Pre-Award may mentor or guide junior team members, providing leadership in improving processes and ensuring adherence to best practices. This role requires advanced knowledge of grant and contract processes, including regulatory compliance, budget development, and proposal management. The Senior Coordinator also plays an active role in maintaining records of submitted proposals and their outcomes, troubleshooting issues that arise during the process, and contributing to ongoing process improvements. As an experienced individual contributor, the Senior General Coordinator works independently, with limited supervision, and ensures that pre-award activities are handled professionally and in alignment with the strategic goals of the organization.
