Strategic Alliances is responsible for enhancing organizational growth and sustainability through the arrangement of relationships with external organizations to undertake a mutually beneficial project while each still retains its independence.
Executive
Executive: The positions work is achieved through the strategic direction of the organization as a whole. Executives have direct accountability for setting strategic goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of a senior management area or other business unit with a universitywide scope of impact. These positions contribute to the highest-level panels and teams. The decisions made under the purview of the executive positions duties must routinely have direct impact on success across the university and impact the overall development of the university. Executive positions are reflected in the E1-E3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.
Level 1
Associate Executive: Accountable for annual execution of goals and objectives in area of responsibility; disseminates goals to direct reports and ensures goals are operationalized. Recommends and may approve policy for area of operational and/or functional control. Typically has multiple directors and managers as direct reports. Scope of responsibility is a university wide sub-function with multiple disciplines, or multiple functions within a college or business unit.

Position Summary

The Associate General Executive in Strategic Alliances is a senior leadership role within the university, accountable for the execution of the strategic goals and objectives related to external partnerships and collaborations. This position plays a key role in driving the growth and sustainability of the organization by overseeing the development and management of strategic relationships with external organizations. The Associate General Executive will ensure that these partnerships are mutually beneficial, aligning with the university's long-term goals while respecting the independence of each organization involved. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role has a broad scope of responsibility, encompassing a university-wide sub-function that spans multiple disciplines or functions within a business unit or college. The Associate General Executive will oversee multiple directors and managers within the Strategic Alliances area, ensuring that operational goals are met and that initiatives are implemented effectively across the organization. The executive will also be responsible for recommending and approving policies within their functional area, ensuring that strategic decisions are made with consideration for the overall success and development of the university. In this position, the Associate General Executive will have a direct impact on the success of the university by guiding and coordinating strategic alliances that support institutional growth. The role requires a high level of strategic thinking, collaboration with various university units, and the ability to influence key decisions that affect the long-term direction of the institution. This individual will contribute to high-level executive panels and teams, working closely with senior leadership to ensure that external partnerships are effectively integrated into the university's broader strategic plan. The Associate General Executive will be responsible for driving the operationalization of strategic goals, ensuring that all activities within Strategic Alliances align with the university's mission and objectives.
