Position Summary

The General Manager of Video and Animation is responsible for leading the video and animation team within the Communications and Marketing department, ensuring the successful development and execution of video, animation, and multimedia content that aligns with the university's brand and strategic objectives. This role involves managing the production of high-quality content across various platforms to effectively communicate the university’s messages and initiatives to key stakeholders, including students, alumni, employees, and media. As the manager, the General Manager oversees the daily operations of the video and animation team, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with established creative and strategic guidelines. The General Manager also has full accountability for team performance, including setting goals, managing resources, conducting performance evaluations, and guiding the professional development of staff. This position requires a strong blend of creative leadership and operational management, with a focus on implementing strategies that drive engagement and meet organizational goals. The General Manager plays a critical role in shaping the direction of video and animation content and collaborating with other departments to ensure consistency and alignment with the university’s overall communications and marketing strategy.
