Senior General Coordinator, Writing & Editorial

Writing and Editorial collects, prepares, and arranges materials and content for publication. Validates outlines, story content, and written content to ensure it meets requirements and brand standards. Writes communications, publications and reports (e.g., briefing materials, talking points, speeches, scripts, press releases, website material and documents for publication).

Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator within Writing and Editorial is responsible for leading the creation, editing, and management of written content across various communications channels, ensuring alignment with the university’s branding and strategic objectives. This position requires a strong mix of creative and strategic skills, as the Senior Coordinator plays a key role in developing content that engages diverse stakeholders such as students, alumni, faculty, staff, and media. In this role, the Senior General Coordinator independently oversees the production of materials for publication, including reports, press releases, speeches, website content, briefing documents, and more, ensuring that all written materials meet high standards of quality and effectiveness. They are also responsible for coordinating with other teams and departments, offering guidance on best practices for writing and editorial content. With advanced experience, the Senior Coordinator may influence the work of others, mentor junior team members, and contribute to content strategy development. This role operates with significant autonomy, ensuring that the content produced effectively supports the university’s communications and marketing goals while adhering to brand guidelines.
