This includes resources such as staff, training, budgetary resources, equipment, and software provided to faculty to support teaching, learning, research, and assessment.

Position Summary

The Academic Coordinator within Faculty Support plays a critical role in assisting the administration and execution of faculty support programs designed to enhance teaching, learning, research, and faculty development. This position provides essential support in coordinating the resources, training, and services required to facilitate faculty success. Working as part of a team, the Academic Coordinator collaborates with faculty, staff, and leadership to ensure that faculty members have access to the tools, infrastructure, and professional development opportunities necessary to support their work and improve the student learning experience. This role involves coordinating various administrative tasks, including managing schedules, tracking budgets, organizing training sessions, and assisting with the implementation of policies that affect faculty support. The Academic Coordinator ensures the smooth operation of faculty support programs by maintaining records, preparing reports, and supporting faculty needs regarding technology, equipment, and other resources. The position requires an intermediate level of experience and education, with the coordinator contributing to the operational aspects of faculty support initiatives. The coordinator’s work, while primarily achieved through individual efforts, may also involve supporting and influencing the work of others in the department, making them a key resource for maintaining and improving the functioning of faculty support systems. While the role does not have full autonomy, the coordinator is expected to apply their knowledge and expertise to assist in achieving the department’s objectives.
