Places employment ads in appropriate sources, ensures the maintenance of accurate and concise records, and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment process.

Position Summary

The Associate General Coordinator within Recruiting and Retention supports the university’s talent acquisition strategies by assisting in the coordination and execution of recruitment activities. As part of the Human Resources team, this entry-level professional role is responsible for helping source, screen, and coordinate interviews with candidates for a variety of staff positions. The role ensures that job postings are accurately maintained and distributed through appropriate channels and assists in tracking candidate progress through the recruitment process using established systems and protocols. Working under the guidance of more experienced team members, the coordinator helps facilitate a positive candidate experience and supports efforts to build a strong and diverse applicant pool. This includes supporting outreach efforts, scheduling interviews, preparing recruitment materials, and ensuring compliance with university hiring practices and applicable regulations. The role also involves maintaining detailed and accurate records, helping to generate reports, and providing general administrative support for recruiting and retention initiatives. As an individual contributor at the entry level, the Associate General Coordinator collaborates with HR colleagues and hiring departments to ensure an efficient and effective hiring process. While not expected to act independently on complex matters, the position plays an important foundational role in supporting the university’s workforce planning and retention goals. This role provides valuable experience and growth opportunities within the field of human resources and higher education talent management.
