Position Summary

The Technical Supervisor within System Development is responsible for overseeing a team of technical professionals who design, develop, and maintain the organization's IT systems. This role involves coordinating the daily activities of the team to ensure that project deliverables and system performance meet the organization's standards and objectives. The supervisor ensures that all aspects of system development, including hardware and software configuration, maintenance, and monitoring, are executed efficiently and on schedule. They serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues and provide hands-on support to resolve problems as they arise. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, the Technical Supervisor is responsible for managing workflows, allocating tasks, and setting priorities for the team. They ensure the successful execution of system development projects by balancing workloads and ensuring that each team member has the necessary resources and support. This role includes a significant focus on mentoring and training employees, ensuring that they are up to date with the latest technologies and best practices. The supervisor also ensures that the team is aligned with organizational goals, providing direction and feedback to foster growth and skill development within the group. As a Supervisor, this position also plays a key role in the administrative aspects of team management. This includes conducting performance evaluations, assisting with hiring decisions, managing team schedules, and handling disciplinary actions when necessary. By ensuring the team’s smooth operation and fostering a collaborative work environment, the Technical Supervisor helps the organization maintain the operational efficiency and stability of its IT systems. They collaborate with senior leadership to define objectives and report on progress, contributing to the continued success of system development initiatives within the organization.
