Position Summary

A Technical Manager within Enterprise Architecture is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of architectural solutions that align with the organization’s broader technology strategy. In this role, the Technical Manager leads a team of architects and technical professionals, ensuring that the enterprise’s architecture is robust, scalable, and supports both current and future business objectives. The Technical Manager plays a key role in guiding the team to develop and maintain the architecture frameworks that enable seamless integration across systems and domains, driving innovation while ensuring that best practices are followed. As a managerial role, the Technical Manager has direct accountability for setting goals, managing resources, and ensuring the team’s success in executing architecture initiatives. They are responsible for overseeing daily operations, coordinating efforts to meet deadlines, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality architectural solutions. This includes monitoring the progress of architecture projects, resolving technical challenges, and aligning efforts with the broader business strategy. Additionally, the manager is responsible for mentoring and coaching team members, fostering their professional development while also ensuring that team members remain aligned with organizational goals. The Technical Manager also serves as a bridge between the architecture team and senior leadership, working to translate business requirements into technical solutions. They collaborate with other departments, such as IT operations and software development, to ensure that architectural designs are integrated successfully into the organization’s technology landscape. By leading their team in the execution of architecture strategies and aligning these strategies with the enterprise’s evolving needs, the Technical Manager ensures that the organization’s infrastructure supports long-term growth, efficiency, and innovation.
