IT Business Systems develops and implements new systems as well as enhances current systems. Identifies and analyzes business needs, gathers requirements, and defines the goals and scope of the work. Evaluates evolving business requirements and makes recommendations for appropriate systems alternatives and enhancements to current systems.

Position Summary

The Analyst within IT Business Systems plays an essential role in supporting the analysis, development, and enhancement of business systems within the organization. This position is responsible for identifying business needs, gathering detailed requirements, and helping define the scope and goals of new systems or enhancements to existing systems. The Analyst works closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure that system solutions meet the evolving business needs. They assist in evaluating system alternatives, helping to recommend the most effective solutions based on a thorough understanding of both the technical and business requirements. As an intermediate-level individual contributor, the Analyst within IT Business Systems collaborates with team members to analyze and improve business processes through technology. They participate in gathering and documenting functional and technical requirements for new systems or system upgrades. The Analyst assists in testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring that systems meet the necessary specifications and support business objectives. While not expected to act independently on all projects, they contribute to various phases of the system development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through implementation, working under the guidance of senior team members. In this role, the Analyst is also involved in system evaluation and the identification of areas for improvement within current systems. They assist in recommending system enhancements and modifications to better align with business goals, ensuring that technology solutions continue to provide value and efficiency. As a key individual contributor, the Analyst brings a blend of technical and business acumen, offering insights that help the organization streamline operations, improve system functionality, and support the overall growth of business systems.
