IT Business Systems develops and implements new systems as well as enhances current systems. Identifies and analyzes business needs, gathers requirements, and defines the goals and scope of the work. Evaluates evolving business requirements and makes recommendations for appropriate systems alternatives and enhancements to current systems.

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst within IT Business Systems plays a pivotal role in analyzing, developing, and enhancing business systems that support the organization’s operations. This position involves working independently to identify business needs, gather requirements, and define the scope of work for both new systems and enhancements to existing systems. The Senior Analyst collaborates closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure that technology solutions align with business objectives and drive efficiency. They play an integral role in evaluating and recommending system alternatives and improvements that meet evolving business requirements and enhance operational performance. As a senior-level individual contributor, the Senior Analyst is expected to bring a high level of expertise and autonomy to their work. They independently manage the gathering, analysis, and documentation of functional and technical requirements, ensuring that projects are executed to meet organizational goals. In addition to their individual contributions, the Senior Analyst may provide guidance to junior analysts and lead efforts in system design, development, and testing. They are often the go-to authority on specific business systems and processes, ensuring that solutions are implemented effectively and efficiently. The Senior Analyst also takes a leadership role in evaluating the current system landscape and making strategic recommendations for enhancements or new system implementations. They work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that system solutions support the organization’s long-term goals, providing input on system architecture, design, and performance optimization. Their ability to balance technical knowledge with business insights enables the Senior Analyst to deliver impactful solutions that improve system functionality, streamline processes, and drive business success.
