IT Business Systems develops and implements new systems as well as enhances current systems. Identifies and analyzes business needs, gathers requirements, and defines the goals and scope of the work. Evaluates evolving business requirements and makes recommendations for appropriate systems alternatives and enhancements to current systems.

They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Position Summary

The Technical Supervisor within IT Business Systems is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and workflow of a team that designs, develops, and supports business-critical IT systems. This position plays a vital role in aligning technical solutions with evolving business needs by supervising team efforts in gathering requirements, analyzing processes, and delivering systems enhancements or new implementations. The supervisor ensures that project deliverables meet organizational objectives and quality standards, supporting the continued optimization and modernization of enterprise systems. In this role, the supervisor coordinates the work of technical staff, schedules project timelines, monitors progress, and provides guidance to ensure efficient and accurate completion of assignments. They play a key role in team development by mentoring employees, providing technical training, and facilitating collaboration across departments. The position also involves the identification of workflow improvements and the implementation of best practices to support the successful integration of new technologies and business applications. The Technical Supervisor serves as a liaison between IT leadership and operational teams, helping to translate complex business requirements into actionable system solutions. Through effective team leadership and technical insight, the supervisor ensures the delivery of reliable, scalable, and secure systems that support institutional goals. This role requires a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, business process analysis, and systems development, coupled with the ability to foster a productive and responsive team environment.
