IT Business Systems develops and implements new systems as well as enhances current systems. Identifies and analyzes business needs, gathers requirements, and defines the goals and scope of the work. Evaluates evolving business requirements and makes recommendations for appropriate systems alternatives and enhancements to current systems.

Position Summary

The Technical Manager within IT Business Systems is responsible for leading a team of professionals focused on developing, enhancing, and supporting IT systems that drive business operations. This position oversees the execution of key projects, ensuring that the team meets both short-term and long-term system goals while aligning with organizational priorities. The Technical Manager ensures that systems are developed and implemented effectively, with a focus on gathering business requirements, defining project scope, and evaluating system alternatives. They play a critical role in leading efforts to enhance existing systems and integrate new technologies, ultimately improving system performance and supporting business success. In this management role, the Technical Manager is responsible for setting goals, providing direction, and ensuring the productivity and effectiveness of their team. They manage the day-to-day operations of IT Business Systems projects, coordinating resources, and overseeing the workflow to ensure deadlines are met and objectives are achieved. The Technical Manager is accountable for team performance, conducting performance evaluations, addressing any personnel issues, and providing coaching and guidance to staff. They also ensure that their team is aligned with the broader strategic goals of the organization, making adjustments as needed to optimize results and meet business needs. The Technical Manager works closely with senior leadership to implement strategies that support both IT and business goals. They are responsible for budget and resource management and ensuring that IT systems meet both business requirements and technical standards. The position also involves fostering collaboration between different departments, ensuring smooth communication and coordination across teams. By driving the development and enhancement of business systems, the Technical Manager helps to improve overall system functionality, increase efficiency, and contribute to the organization's ability to adapt to changing business needs and technological advancements.
