Network and Telecommunication Services is responsible for the daily administration and management of network and telecommunications components, including network switches, routers, firewalls, proxies, operating systems, infrastructure applications, appliances, and cloud integration. Manages voice, data, and video communication systems throughout the university, analyzing and resolving issues with communication programs.

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst within Network and Telecommunication Services plays a pivotal role in the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the university's network infrastructure and telecommunications systems. This includes managing key components such as network switches, routers, firewalls, proxies, and cloud integration systems, ensuring that all voice, data, and video communication systems are functioning effectively. The Senior Analyst is responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, providing critical support for daily operations, and ensuring the reliability and security of the network infrastructure that supports the university’s academic and administrative needs. As an experienced individual contributor, the Senior Analyst operates with a high degree of autonomy, handling advanced technical challenges and system optimizations. They apply their deep expertise in network and telecommunications technologies to maintain and improve the performance of the university's communication systems. This role involves the identification and implementation of solutions to enhance system reliability, security, and performance, and may include leading troubleshooting efforts for major incidents or coordinating the deployment of new technologies. The Senior Analyst also ensures that network components are properly integrated and configured to meet the university’s evolving needs. While primarily an individual contributor, the Senior Analyst may provide informal leadership to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to support their development. They contribute to the strategic direction of network and telecommunication services by identifying opportunities for improvements and recommending innovative solutions. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently to ensure that network and telecommunication services remain secure, efficient, and aligned with the university’s goals and objectives.
