Audit Services develops, plans, and evaluates internal audit programs for the organizations financial, operational, and managerial processes and systems to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, policies and standards. Identifies risks and opportunities for improvement.

Manager: The positions work is achieved through the direction of others. Managers have direct accountability for setting goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Managerial positions are reflected in the M1-M3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.

Position Summary

The General Manager within Audit Services is responsible for overseeing the effective implementation and execution of audit programs across the organization. This position involves managing and coordinating a team of audit professionals to ensure that financial, operational, and managerial processes align with applicable regulations, laws, and organizational policies. The General Manager sets strategic objectives for the department, allocates resources efficiently, and ensures that audits are completed on time and to the highest standards of quality. They also provide leadership in assessing risks, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring that audit findings are reported clearly to senior leadership. In addition to overseeing day-to-day audit operations, the General Manager plays a critical role in fostering a culture of compliance, integrity, and continuous improvement within the organization. They will lead the development of long-term audit strategies, implement policies, and evaluate the effectiveness of current systems and processes. The General Manager works closely with other senior management teams to influence decision-making and guide the organization through complex compliance challenges, while ensuring the company’s audit functions align with both internal and external standards. The General Manager is a key leader within the audit services team, providing direction, mentorship, and professional development for staff members. They are accountable for performance evaluations, hiring decisions, and disciplinary actions, ensuring a productive, efficient, and high-performing team. With their comprehensive oversight, the General Manager drives the success of audit services, aligning the department’s goals with the broader strategic objectives of the organization while maintaining high standards of compliance and risk management.
