Position Summary

The General Coordinator within Project Management plays a key role in the planning, execution, and successful closure of projects in alignment with the university’s strategic objectives. This position supports the management of various projects, collaborating with multi-functional teams to define goals, develop comprehensive work plans, and ensure project milestones are met. The General Coordinator is responsible for coordinating resources, setting timelines, and ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed efficiently, maintaining a clear focus on meeting project goals within the designated timeframes. In this role, the General Coordinator acts as a central point of contact, facilitating communication among stakeholders and team members. They help identify potential obstacles and work to resolve issues that may arise during the course of the project. By maintaining a detailed understanding of project progress, the coordinator ensures that the team remains aligned with the project’s objectives, offering support where needed to optimize productivity and outcomes. Additionally, they provide regular updates and reports to senior management, contributing to the decision-making process and ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle. As an individual contributor, the General Coordinator is responsible for managing their specific set of tasks while collaborating effectively with other team members. They bring a balance of organizational and communication skills to the table, contributing to the efficient execution of projects. Although some guidance is provided, the coordinator is expected to work with a degree of autonomy, using their knowledge of project management methodologies to keep projects on track and successfully achieve the desired outcomes for the university.
