Position Summary

The Analyst within Project Management plays a vital role in supporting the planning, execution, and closing of projects that contribute to the university’s strategic initiatives. In this individual contributor position, the Analyst helps define project goals, creates detailed work plans, and tracks project progress to ensure that key milestones and deadlines are met. This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills to gather and evaluate data, monitor project performance, and assist in identifying areas for improvement. The Analyst works closely with project managers and other team members to ensure projects stay on track and meet their objectives. The Analyst supports project teams by helping to coordinate activities, track deliverables, and assist in the identification of potential obstacles. By collecting and analyzing project data, they provide insights that help drive decision-making and keep stakeholders informed. Their work helps streamline the project process by facilitating communication across teams, ensuring that all project components are aligned with the overall goals. The Analyst also contributes to generating reports, updating project plans, and ensuring that all documentation is complete and up to date. As an intermediate-level individual contributor, the Analyst is expected to have some experience in project management or related fields but is not required to act independently. They work under the guidance of more senior project managers and are involved in supporting various aspects of project management, such as data collection, reporting, and analysis. This role is ideal for those looking to build their experience in project management while contributing to the successful execution of strategic projects. The Analyst is a key member of the project team, providing the analytical support necessary to ensure smooth project operations and successful outcomes.
