Position Summary

The Senior Analyst within Project Management plays a critical role in supporting the planning, execution, and closing of strategic projects that align with the university’s objectives. In this individual contributor role, the Senior Analyst is responsible for analyzing and managing complex data, creating comprehensive project plans, and ensuring that projects meet their defined goals. With advanced knowledge of project management principles, the Senior Analyst monitors project performance, identifies potential risks, and provides data-driven insights to help guide decision-making. This role requires the ability to work with cross-functional teams, track milestones, and ensure all aspects of the project are progressing according to schedule. In addition to their analytical responsibilities, the Senior Analyst actively collaborates with project managers and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment of project goals. They assist in resolving obstacles and help facilitate team productivity by providing insights on process improvements. The Senior Analyst is also responsible for producing detailed reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and supporting the preparation of status updates for stakeholders. Their contributions play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with the university’s strategic vision. As a senior-level individual contributor, the Senior Analyst is expected to work with a high degree of autonomy, making decisions that impact the success of the projects they support. While they do not manage teams directly, they may provide guidance or mentorship to junior analysts and other team members, sharing expertise and best practices. The Senior Analyst’s ability to lead initiatives, influence project outcomes through data analysis, and proactively identify solutions to project challenges makes them an essential asset to the project management team. Their work ensures that complex projects are executed efficiently and that project goals are consistently met.
