Research identifies opportunities and provide institutional guidance for research programs to organize and focus strategic research efforts within and across traditional disciplinary boundaries to help researchers as they identify, pursue, capture, and deliver research programs.

Individual contributor roles are reflected in the Academic Administration, Development, General Administration, Technical/STEM, and C1-C4 of the Clinical tracks.

Position Summary

The Analyst within Research plays a crucial role in supporting the planning, execution, and evaluation of research programs at the university. This individual contributor position is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide insights that help guide strategic decision-making in research initiatives. Working closely with research teams, the Analyst assists in tracking project progress, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring that research efforts align with institutional goals. They also help in assessing the effectiveness of research programs, providing recommendations for optimization based on data and analysis. In this role, the Analyst is responsible for managing and organizing research data, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, and preparing reports that summarize key findings. They support researchers by providing critical information that helps define research priorities and strategies, ensuring that the team stays on track to meet their objectives. The Analyst may also assist in preparing documentation for research proposals, supporting grant applications, and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements. Their analytical expertise is essential in helping to shape the direction of research and supporting data-driven decision-making within research programs. While the Analyst is not expected to act independently in a leadership capacity, their role requires a solid understanding of research processes and data management. This position requires the ability to handle complex datasets, demonstrate attention to detail, and provide actionable insights that inform research strategies. By supporting research efforts with data and analysis, the Analyst helps ensure that the university’s research programs are both efficient and effective, contributing to the broader institutional research goals.
