Position Summary

The Associate Academic Coordinator within Admissions plays a critical role in supporting the university’s admissions process and student recruitment strategies. This position is an entry-level professional role where the individual works under the guidance of senior admissions staff to coordinate and facilitate various aspects of the admissions process. This includes managing the collection and processing of applications, assisting with recruitment events, and ensuring that prospective students receive timely and accurate information about the university’s offerings. The role also involves direct interaction with applicants, providing support throughout the admissions journey to ensure a smooth and efficient experience. In addition to managing day-to-day administrative tasks, the Associate Academic Coordinator plays an active role in coordinating recruitment initiatives. This includes organizing and executing recruitment events, outreach programs, and campus visits for prospective students. By supporting these efforts, the coordinator helps to promote the university to a broader audience and contributes to the overall enrollment goals. The individual also assists with data entry and maintaining accurate records related to applications, student interactions, and recruitment activities, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and easily accessible for admissions staff. As part of the Admissions team, the Associate Academic Coordinator contributes to the continuous improvement of recruitment and admissions strategies. The role requires effective communication and teamwork, as the coordinator collaborates with other university departments, including Student Services and Enrollment Services, to streamline processes and improve the overall applicant experience. With limited experience required for this entry-level role, the Associate Academic Coordinator is expected to build a foundational understanding of university admissions processes, student recruitment, and academic administration, while receiving mentorship and guidance from more senior staff members. This role provides valuable exposure to higher education administration and offers opportunities for growth within the academic affairs and enrollment services departments.
