Position Summary

The Academic Coordinator within Admissions plays a crucial role in supporting the university’s admissions and recruitment processes. In this intermediate-level position, the coordinator assists in managing the flow of applications, organizing recruitment events, and processing student admissions. The role involves maintaining accurate records, ensuring timely communication with prospective students, and providing them with necessary information regarding application statuses, deadlines, and required documentation. The coordinator helps streamline various aspects of the admissions process, ensuring a smooth and effective experience for students as they navigate the university’s application system. As part of the Enrollment Services team, the Academic Coordinator supports the development and execution of recruitment strategies aimed at attracting and retaining students. This includes assisting in the organization of campus tours, information sessions, and outreach programs targeted at prospective students. The coordinator collaborates with other teams within Student Services to ensure alignment of recruitment goals and ensure that all necessary materials, such as promotional materials and application instructions, are readily available to prospective applicants. Additionally, the coordinator helps in identifying and reaching out to key student populations to enhance enrollment diversity and retention. The Academic Coordinator works closely with other staff members in Admissions and Enrollment Services to improve operational efficiency. The role requires effective teamwork and communication skills, as well as the ability to take initiative in supporting student recruitment efforts. With some prior experience and educational qualifications, the coordinator contributes to the overall success of admissions operations while also gaining valuable insight into academic administration and student services. While the position does not require independent decision-making, it offers opportunities to further develop skills in higher education administration, supporting the strategic objectives of the university’s enrollment goals.
