Enrollment Services is responsible for student recruiting programs, pre-application and pre-admission, and related processes at the university. These roles develop, implement, and administer plans, programs, and events for general and targeted student recruitment in support of organizational goals.
Management / Leadership
Manager: The positions work is achieved through the direction of others. Managers have direct accountability for setting goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Managerial positions are reflected in the M1-M3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.

Supervisor: Supervises experienced administrative, operative, and/or technical roles. Coordinates schedules and workflow for the team. Focuses on team completion of assignments and is responsible for ensuring the orientation and training of employees.

Position Summary

The Academic Supervisor within Enrollment Services is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a team dedicated to student recruitment and admissions processes. This role involves supervising experienced administrative staff and ensuring the successful coordination of recruitment programs, events, and outreach activities aimed at attracting and enrolling prospective students. The Academic Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting the team’s efforts to meet university enrollment goals by ensuring that team members are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with organizational priorities. In addition to providing leadership and guidance to their team, the Academic Supervisor coordinates the scheduling and workflow of enrollment-related tasks, ensuring that deadlines are met, and that recruitment efforts are consistent with the university’s objectives. They are also responsible for managing the professional development of staff, including onboarding new employees, conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and recommending training opportunities to improve team effectiveness. By maintaining strong communication within the department and collaborating with other university units, the supervisor helps ensure a seamless and efficient admissions process for prospective students. The Academic Supervisor also plays a key role in the long-term planning and strategy for enrollment services. They contribute to setting team goals, monitor team performance, and report on key metrics to senior leadership. By staying informed on recruitment trends and best practices, the supervisor ensures that the team adapts to evolving strategies and remains effective in achieving enrollment targets. This role requires a balance of leadership, administrative oversight, and hands-on involvement to ensure the smooth operation of recruitment activities and the overall success of the university’s enrollment efforts.
