Counseling and Mental Health is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental, behavioral and emotional problems and disorders. Through discussion of emotions and experiences, uses evidence-based counseling techniques to help patients dealing with issues that affect their mental health and well-being. Helps patients come up with goals and plan action.

Position Summary

The Associate Clinical position within Counseling and Mental Health is an entry-level professional role focused on providing essential therapeutic services to individuals in need of mental health support. Working under the supervision of senior clinicians, the Associate Clinical professional plays a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral health issues. This includes conducting intake assessments, providing individual and group counseling sessions, and developing treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs. The Associate Clinical professional is responsible for utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help patients address issues impacting their mental well-being and achieve their therapeutic goals. In addition to direct patient care, the Associate Clinical professional collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the effective delivery of care. This may involve working alongside healthcare professionals in related fields, such as medical practitioners, counselors, and social workers, to provide holistic support to individuals seeking mental health services. The role also involves documenting patient progress, maintaining confidential patient records, and adhering to all ethical and legal guidelines related to mental health care. Regular supervision and mentorship from experienced clinical staff are provided to enhance professional development and ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
