Residence Life develops and implements student life programs, services and processes. Oversees day-to-day residence experiences, operations, and functions for students living on campus and in university-owned properties. Develops a student community that is inclusive, academically and socially stimulating, and ensures student well-being and safety.

Position Summary

The Associate Academic Coordinator within Residence Life is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of student life programs and services within the university’s residential communities. This role is focused on assisting students in creating an inclusive, academically stimulating, and socially engaging environment that enhances their overall university experience. The Associate Academic Coordinator works closely with Residence Life and Housing staff to ensure that on-campus living aligns with students’ academic, personal, and social development. This position involves day-to-day oversight of residence life operations, including assisting with residential programming, student engagement initiatives, and coordinating student support services. The Associate Academic Coordinator will contribute to the creation of a supportive and safe living environment for all students while helping to foster a strong sense of community. They will work with students, residence advisors, and faculty to ensure that academic and social programming is integrated into the living experience and that students’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner. Additionally, the Associate Academic Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of residence life programs, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement. They will collaborate with various departments across Student Services to develop and implement initiatives that contribute to student success both in and outside the classroom. This role requires a proactive and team-oriented individual who is committed to supporting students’ academic and personal growth through positive residential experiences. As part of the residence life team, the Associate Academic Coordinator will help ensure that the residence environment is not only safe and secure but also conducive to academic success.
