Position Summary

The Associate Academic Coordinator within Student Affairs plays a key role in supporting the university's student services by providing direct assistance and coordination for various student-focused programs and services. This position helps manage and implement co-curricular activities that support student engagement, development, and well-being. Working within the framework of Student Affairs, the Associate Academic Coordinator is involved in a wide range of tasks that foster student success, including academic advising, student advocacy, wellness services, and engagement opportunities that promote a fulfilling student experience. In this role, the Associate Academic Coordinator assists in the planning and execution of programs designed to help students navigate their academic journey, improve personal and professional skills, and access campus resources. The coordinator provides guidance to students, helping them connect with the appropriate services for academic and personal support. They also collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the co-curricular environment and ensure that students have the resources needed to thrive both inside and outside the classroom. This position requires a strong understanding of student development theory and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse student populations. As an individual contributor in this entry-level position, the Associate Academic Coordinator works under the direction of senior staff to execute student affairs initiatives and contribute to the success of various programs. The role requires the ability to balance independent work with teamwork, coordinating and influencing the work of others when necessary. By applying their knowledge of student services and academic support, the Associate Academic Coordinator plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the student affairs office, helping ensure that students are well-supported in their academic and personal growth.
