Student Engagement develops, coordinates, and evaluates student programs, groups, or clubs, including special events, orientation, student organizations, and first year experience. Coordinates the planning and facilitation of student programs in accordance with organizational goals and objectives. Promotes student involvement in programs and groups.

Position Summary

The Associate Academic Coordinator within Student Engagement serves as an entry-level professional who supports a range of student-centered services that enhance the overall student experience. Positioned within Student Services, this role assists in coordinating and delivering programs that span academic advising, student advocacy, and learning support, with a focus on integrating these services into engaging co-curricular experiences. The coordinator works closely with campus partners to help facilitate programs that support students' academic success, personal growth, and well-being, while also serving as a point of contact for students navigating available support services. Aligned with the mission of Student Affairs, this role plays an essential part in fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment that promotes student development. The Associate Academic Coordinator contributes to programs and initiatives that cultivate life skills, leadership development, and holistic wellness. This position supports and promotes co-curricular opportunities that encourage self-exploration, learning, and growth, with the goal of preparing students to lead fulfilling lives during and beyond their university experience. As part of the Student Engagement team, the Associate Academic Coordinator assists in planning, coordinating, and evaluating a variety of student-centered programs and events, including student orientation, first-year experience, campus-wide events, and student organization activities. Operating as an individual contributor, the coordinator brings creativity and enthusiasm to the role while learning to independently manage projects, collaborate with peers, and influence the student experience in alignment with institutional goals.
