Student Engagement develops, coordinates, and evaluates student programs, groups, or clubs, including special events, orientation, student organizations, and first year experience. Coordinates the planning and facilitation of student programs in accordance with organizational goals and objectives. Promotes student involvement in programs and groups.

Position Summary

The Academic Coordinator within Student Engagement plays a vital role in supporting the university’s student involvement and engagement initiatives. This position is responsible for coordinating a variety of student programs, clubs, and organizations that enhance the co-curricular experience, fostering student development and creating opportunities for personal and professional growth. The Academic Coordinator collaborates closely with students, faculty, and staff to ensure that student engagement activities are aligned with institutional goals, facilitating an environment that encourages student participation, leadership, and connection to the university community. In this role, the Academic Coordinator manages specific programs and events, such as orientation, first-year experiences, student organizations, and special events. They provide logistical support for these activities, ensuring their successful execution and alignment with student needs and institutional priorities. The coordinator works with student leaders to provide guidance, training, and mentorship, ensuring that student organizations are well-supported and able to thrive. Additionally, the Academic Coordinator helps evaluate the impact of engagement activities and seeks opportunities for improvement and growth based on student feedback and engagement data. As an individual contributor, the Academic Coordinator plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of student engagement programs, collaborating with various departments to ensure the success and relevance of student activities. They assist in the development of strategic goals and objectives related to student involvement and work closely with other campus entities to integrate student engagement initiatives with broader campus activities.
