Position Summary

The Senior Academic Coordinator within Student Success plays a pivotal role in advancing the academic and personal success of students by overseeing and refining academic support programs. This position entails evaluating students' needs, facilitating access to specialized resources such as tutoring and counseling, and designing targeted academic support initiatives that align with student success goals. The coordinator serves as a key liaison between various student services and academic departments, ensuring that students receive comprehensive support tailored to their specific academic challenges and aspirations. In this senior-level role, the Academic Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of academic success programs. The coordinator manages a team of support staff, overseeing program operations, and ensuring that academic interventions are effective and aligned with institutional goals. Additionally, the role involves collaboration with faculty, advisors, and student affairs professionals to track student progress, identify at-risk students, and provide necessary academic resources. The Senior Academic Coordinator also monitors the performance of academic support initiatives, evaluates their impact, and makes strategic adjustments to improve student outcomes. The Senior Academic Coordinator is an individual contributor with a high degree of autonomy, applying specialized knowledge and experience to lead academic support efforts. With significant experience in academic administration, the coordinator is expected to work independently while also guiding and mentoring junior staff. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage complex, university-wide initiatives. The Senior Academic Coordinator plays a key role in shaping the academic success strategies of the institution and ensuring the alignment of academic resources with the needs of the student population.
