Student Success fosters an environment that helps students achieve success. Evaluates students and may make referrals for tutoring, more specialized counseling, and other resources as warranted. Serves as a liaison to other university student resources. Develops and implements academic support programs.

Position Summary

The Academic Coordinator within Student Success is responsible for supporting the academic achievement of students through the development, coordination, and implementation of academic support programs. This position involves working closely with students to assess their academic needs, providing guidance, and facilitating referrals to appropriate resources such as tutoring, specialized counseling, or additional student support services. The coordinator plays a key role in fostering an environment that promotes student success, contributing to their overall academic, social, and personal growth. In this role, the Academic Coordinator will oversee and coordinate a variety of academic success initiatives, including workshops, study groups, and individualized academic support plans. The position involves working with other university departments to ensure that students are aware of and have access to the resources they need. The coordinator will be responsible for tracking student progress, evaluating the effectiveness of support programs, and implementing improvements as needed. By collaborating with academic advisors and faculty members, the Academic Coordinator will also assist in identifying students at risk and intervene with strategies to support their success. The Academic Coordinator operates as an individual contributor in an intermediate-level role, applying knowledge and skills to coordinate and influence the success of academic programs. While the position requires some experience and education, the coordinator is not expected to work entirely independently and will collaborate with other team members to achieve goals. This position requires excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a proactive approach to identifying and addressing students' academic needs. It is ideal for someone who is passionate about student success and ready to contribute to the ongoing development of support systems within the university.
