General Consultant, Alumni/Student Engagement

Alumni/Student Engagement
Alumni/Student Engagement is responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of alumni events, volunteer activities and partnerships with alumni clubs and societies. Engages and supports alumni governance bodies including boards and councils. Develops, conducts, and promotes alumni programs and services to constituents including reunions, travel and tours, speakers, and general activities to enhance involvement opportunities across the alumni network.

Position Summary

The General Consultant for Alumni/Student Engagement is a senior-level position responsible for providing expert guidance and strategic support to the university’s alumni engagement initiatives. This role involves independently advising and consulting on the planning, execution, and evaluation of alumni programs, events, and volunteer activities. The consultant plays a key role in developing innovative engagement strategies, working closely with alumni relations teams, university leadership, and alumni governance bodies to ensure the successful delivery of high-impact initiatives such as reunions, speakers, travel tours, and networking events. In addition to providing high-level strategic insights, the General Consultant leads and mentors teams, sharing best practices and ensuring the efficient implementation of programs across the alumni network. The consultant also works collaboratively with key stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of engagement strategies, offering recommendations for improvement and ensuring alignment with the university’s broader goals. With an advanced level of expertise and autonomy, this position is critical in shaping the future direction of alumni engagement, strengthening the relationship between alumni and the university, and supporting the institution’s long-term goals.
