Position Summary

The General Consultant for Grant and Contract Management is an advanced individual contributor responsible for providing expert guidance and strategic consultation on the administration of legal and financial agreements within the university's grant and contract processes. This position involves analyzing complex agreements, ensuring compliance with university and external regulations, and providing high-level support for negotiating, managing, and executing grants and contracts. The consultant will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners to advise on best practices, improve operational processes, and ensure all agreements meet the required standards of quality and compliance. With a high level of autonomy, the General Consultant for Grant and Contract Management will also provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members. This role requires a deep understanding of grant and contract management, including legal and financial frameworks, to solve intricate problems and support strategic decision-making. The consultant will be responsible for identifying areas for process improvements, leading initiatives to enhance efficiency, and working collaboratively with senior leadership to ensure that the university's grant and contract functions align with broader strategic objectives. This position plays a critical role in elevating the overall performance and effectiveness of the university's grant and contract management operations.
