Content Development facilitates the development of informative, engaging and strategy-based content across teams, using a combination of creative skills and strategic thinking with the goal of driving engagement with audiences in alignment with the universitys brand and organizational objectives.
Management / Leadership
Manager: The positions work is achieved through the direction of others. Managers have direct accountability for setting goals and using resources. They are responsible for administrative oversight of individuals, including conducting recommendations for hiring and termination, writing evaluations, disciplinary actions, day-to-day oversight as well as long-term goal setting and accountability for the performance and productivity of the employees. Managerial positions are reflected in the M1-M3 career track levels in the management/leadership track.
Level 1
Supervisor: Supervises experienced administrative, operative, and/or technical roles. Coordinates schedules and workflow for the team. Focuses on team completion of assignments and is responsible for ensuring the orientation and training of employees.

Position Summary

The General Supervisor of Content Development is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the content development team. This role ensures the effective creation of engaging, informative, and strategically aligned content that supports the university's brand and communication objectives. The General Supervisor coordinates schedules, workflow, and project timelines for the team, ensuring that content initiatives are completed efficiently and meet high standards. In addition to overseeing daily operations, the supervisor is responsible for the training and orientation of new employees, ensuring that team members have the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to the content development process. As a supervisor, this role focuses on guiding the team to achieve long-term goals, while maintaining accountability for the performance and productivity of team members. The position involves providing leadership in the execution of content strategies, offering support to staff, and ensuring alignment with broader communications and marketing efforts across the organization.
