The Academic Director within Faculty Administration plays a critical role in overseeing and managing multiple academic processes that are essential for the success and advancement of faculty, including curriculum development, instructional quality support, and faculty performance evaluation. This leadership position is responsible for directing and controlling the activities of various university units, ensuring that operations align with both departmental and university-wide goals. The Academic Director works closely with executive leadership to establish strategic goals and priorities for the function and collaborates to ensure their effective implementation. The Academic Director has broad oversight, including planning, staffing, budgeting, and resource management. While they may not directly supervise all staff, the Director is accountable for the performance and productivity of the team, setting clear goals, providing direction, and ensuring the successful execution of projects and initiatives. This role involves working with multiple teams and academic units to ensure alignment with the overall academic strategy, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement in academic processes. The Academic Director ensures that faculty-related policies and initiatives are carried out effectively, supporting the mission and vision of the university.
