General Coordinator, Finance

Finance is responsible for the financial activities of the university, from transaction processing to complex financial analysis and strategic planning. This typically includes accounting, budgeting, financial forecasting and analysis, tax analysis and compliance, billing and collections, investment management, cash and debt management, and insurance.

Individual contributors may: Coordinate, influence, or review the work of others. Be the authority on a given program or process. Lead teams. A range of knowledge, complexity, autonomy, and impact may be needed to achieve results at certain levels. Individual contributor roles are reflected in the Academic Administration, Development, General Administration, Technical/STEM, and C1-C4 of the Clinical tracks.

Position Summary

The General Coordinator within Finance is an intermediate-level professional role responsible for supporting various financial functions within the university. This position is designed for individuals who have some experience in financial processes and are capable of contributing to the completion of financial tasks and projects. The General Coordinator plays a key role in assisting with budgeting, financial forecasting, financial reporting, and accounting functions. The role involves collaborating with other finance professionals to maintain financial records, assist in the preparation of financial statements, and ensure compliance with financial policies and standards. Additionally, the General Coordinator helps track and analyze departmental budgets, prepares financial reports, and ensures that all financial data is accurately entered and maintained. While the General Coordinator works under supervision and guidance, they are expected to contribute effectively to team goals, manage financial tasks, and ensure deadlines are met. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various departments to gather and process financial information. The General Coordinator may also have the opportunity to assist in improving financial processes and systems, contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department. As an individual contributor, the General Coordinator plays a vital role in coordinating financial activities, ensuring the smooth functioning of financial operations, and assisting with more complex financial analysis when needed.
