Senior General Coordinator, Finance

Finance is responsible for the financial activities of the university, from transaction processing to complex financial analysis and strategic planning. This typically includes accounting, budgeting, financial forecasting and analysis, tax analysis and compliance, billing and collections, investment management, cash and debt management, and insurance.

Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator within Finance is an experienced professional responsible for overseeing and supporting various financial operations within the university. This role requires significant expertise in financial processes and the ability to work independently while providing guidance and support to junior team members. The Senior General Coordinator plays a key role in managing complex financial tasks, including budgeting, financial forecasting, reporting, and analysis, while ensuring compliance with university policies and financial regulations. This position involves taking the lead in coordinating and executing financial activities, such as preparing detailed financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting in the preparation of annual budgets. The Senior General Coordinator is also responsible for analyzing and reconciling financial data, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information, and supporting the development of strategic financial plans. In addition, they may work closely with other departments and units across the university to provide financial insights and support decision-making. The Senior General Coordinator also participates in enhancing financial systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy. While this role typically works independently, the Senior General Coordinator may also provide leadership to other finance team members, helping with training, mentoring, and supporting their professional development. With a high level of autonomy, the Senior General Coordinator is expected to act as a subject matter expert in finance, contributing to the strategic direction and operational success of the finance department. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
