System Development analyzes designs, develops, configures, monitors, and maintains IT systems software, hardware, and servers. This may include monitoring and maintaining the operating efficiency and stability, security, and integrity of all data and systems.

Individual contributor roles are reflected in the Academic Administration, Development, General Administration, Technical/STEM, and C1-C4 of the Clinical tracks.

Position Summary

The Analyst within System Development plays a critical role in the analysis, design, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure. This individual contributes to the development, configuration, and management of system software, hardware, and servers, ensuring the optimal functionality and security of the organization’s systems. The role includes supporting the configuration and deployment of system components, monitoring system performance, and making adjustments to improve stability, efficiency, and security. A key responsibility of the analyst is to monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions. The analyst works under the guidance of senior system developers to ensure that all system components are running at peak performance while maintaining data security and integrity. This position also involves assisting in the configuration and installation of new systems or components, ensuring they meet the required specifications and operational needs. The analyst will also be involved in ensuring systems meet industry standards for security and functionality, participating in regular audits and updates as necessary. This intermediate-level position requires the analyst to have a foundational understanding of system development principles and IT infrastructure. While not expected to operate fully independently, the analyst is expected to take initiative in identifying areas for improvement, troubleshooting system issues, and working with other technical teams to implement solutions. As an individual contributor, the analyst will support the team with technical expertise, handle routine tasks, and contribute to the documentation of system changes and updates, all while ensuring the ongoing smooth operation of the organization's systems.
