Position Summary

A Technical Supervisor within Testing plays a key leadership role in overseeing the quality assurance and testing processes within the broader Information Technology and Development and Operations teams. This individual is responsible for managing a team of technical professionals who design, develop, and implement testing strategies, test plans, and system analyses. The Technical Supervisor ensures that all hardware, software, and networking systems meet performance and quality standards. Additionally, they monitor team progress, make necessary adjustments to schedules, and ensure the successful completion of testing projects, ensuring that both short-term and long-term goals are met. In this supervisory position, the Technical Supervisor coordinates the daily operations of the testing team, overseeing workflow, task prioritization, and resource allocation. They are responsible for orienting and training new employees while ensuring that team members are continually developing their skills and staying up-to-date with new technologies and industry best practices. This role involves providing technical guidance, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring that all testing procedures are followed effectively and efficiently. The supervisor also serves as the primary point of contact for escalating testing-related concerns and working closely with other teams to integrate feedback and improvements into the development cycle. The Technical Supervisor works within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, where leadership and technical expertise are equally important. They will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and productive team culture while holding team members accountable for meeting deadlines and producing high-quality results. By combining technical knowledge with strong managerial skills, the Technical Supervisor ensures that testing initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standard.
