Position Summary

The Senior Analyst within IT Service Management is responsible for overseeing and optimizing IT service delivery across the university, playing a pivotal role in ensuring that IT services meet the university's operational and strategic needs. This position involves managing complex IT service management processes, such as incident management, problem resolution, change management, and service request fulfillment. The Senior Analyst works closely with both technical and non-technical teams to design, implement, and monitor IT service offerings that align with the university’s objectives. They ensure that services are delivered efficiently and in compliance with industry best practices, particularly within the ITIL framework. With advanced experience in IT service management, the Senior Analyst evaluates and improves service performance by analyzing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). They provide insights into service delivery trends and identify areas for improvement to optimize service quality. The Senior Analyst is expected to lead or facilitate cross-functional teams, coordinating efforts to address issues and implement improvements. Additionally, they often act as a mentor for junior team members, guiding them through complex processes and helping to build expertise within the team. The role requires a high degree of autonomy, problem-solving capabilities, and decision-making authority in driving service improvements and resolving complex challenges. As an individual contributor with senior-level expertise, the Senior Analyst within IT Service Management brings a comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure and operations to their work. They take a proactive approach in identifying emerging technologies and service management tools that can enhance the university's IT capabilities. The Senior Analyst also plays a significant role in collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of new services and technologies while maintaining the integrity and reliability of existing systems. Their leadership extends to influencing service management strategies, ensuring that the university remains adaptable to evolving technology needs while maintaining high standards of service excellence.
