Works with colleges and units to develop and implement internal controls, processes, and programs that access and enhance compliance. May engage with regulatory commissions and authorities or advance university positions with external and internal stakeholders.

Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator within Compliance Services is a key role responsible for supporting the university’s compliance efforts with a focus on ensuring adherence to regulatory, quality, and internal standards. This position works with multiple university units and departments to implement, monitor, and enhance compliance programs. The Senior General Coordinator plays an integral part in developing and evaluating internal controls and processes to foster a culture of compliance and integrity throughout the university community. In this senior-level individual contributor role, the Senior General Coordinator takes on a leadership function within the compliance team. They independently manage more complex compliance initiatives, including reviewing and recommending improvements to internal controls, conducting audits, and ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met. This position also involves engaging with external and internal stakeholders, such as regulatory commissions, to address compliance issues, as well as preparing reports on compliance activities. The Senior General Coordinator is expected to proactively identify areas of risk or non-compliance and work with various departments to address these issues in a timely manner. While the role involves a high degree of autonomy, the Senior General Coordinator may also provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. They are responsible for coordinating efforts to enhance compliance training and ensuring that the university remains aligned with legal and regulatory standards. The position requires advanced knowledge of compliance frameworks, critical thinking, and the ability to influence key stakeholders. Through their efforts, the Senior General Coordinator contributes significantly to the university's overall compliance strategy, helping maintain its reputation and operational integrity.
