Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator within Legal and Compliance plays a critical role in ensuring the organization’s legal and compliance functions are executed efficiently and effectively. This individual is responsible for coordinating high-level compliance activities, supporting legal processes, and ensuring the organization adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. They serve as a key resource for managing complex compliance projects, providing strategic input into the development of compliance programs, and maintaining comprehensive records of compliance-related activities. The Senior General Coordinator also serves as a liaison between the organization and external stakeholders, including government agencies, vendors, and legal partners. In this role, the Senior General Coordinator independently manages a range of legal and compliance initiatives, ensuring timely completion of tasks and compliance with deadlines. They support senior legal staff in preparing documentation for audits, investigations, and reports. Additionally, the Senior General Coordinator contributes to the development of compliance policies and procedures, reviewing and recommending improvements where necessary. Their responsibilities include overseeing the completion of compliance assessments, tracking regulatory changes, and monitoring the organization’s adherence to new and existing legal requirements. This position may also include mentoring and guiding junior staff and providing leadership in key compliance-related tasks. As a senior-level individual contributor, the Senior General Coordinator is expected to demonstrate a high degree of autonomy in their work while being capable of providing leadership and guidance to others. Their deep knowledge and experience in legal and compliance processes empower them to take ownership of key compliance functions within the organization. They work closely with senior leadership to ensure that all compliance efforts align with the organization’s strategic goals, contributing significantly to fostering a culture of integrity and regulatory adherence. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate across various departments and stakeholders.
