Position Summary

The General Coordinator within Library Services plays a key role in supporting the organization’s efforts to manage and enhance access to library collections, specialized information systems, and resources that support academic teaching, learning, and research. This role involves a variety of tasks, including coordinating the acquisition, cataloging, and organization of library materials, as well as ensuring that collections are properly maintained and easily accessible to students, faculty, and researchers. The General Coordinator supports the smooth operation of library services by contributing to various administrative processes and ensuring that the library functions in alignment with university goals and policies. As an individual contributor, the General Coordinator works with a moderate level of autonomy, requiring some experience and education in library services or related fields. Responsibilities may include managing daily library operations, overseeing resource allocation, and coordinating projects related to the collection and maintenance of library materials. The position is not expected to be fully independent but may involve some oversight and collaboration with other library staff to ensure that the needs of the academic community are met effectively. The General Coordinator may also assist in the development and implementation of new processes and improvements to enhance library operations and service delivery. The role requires a balance of organizational skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage competing priorities. The General Coordinator may assist in reviewing and refining workflows, supporting the integration of new technologies, and participating in the development of policies and procedures for library services.
