Position Summary

The Senior General Coordinator within Library Services plays an essential role in managing and enhancing the accessibility and organization of library collections and specialized information systems that support academic research and teaching. With a higher level of responsibility, this position ensures that library materials are properly cataloged, maintained, and available to meet the needs of students, faculty, and researchers. The Senior General Coordinator is expected to act independently, coordinating significant library functions and resources, while also providing guidance on the development and implementation of strategic initiatives related to library services. In this individual contributor role, the Senior General Coordinator works with a high degree of autonomy, leveraging their extensive experience and education to oversee complex tasks and processes. Responsibilities include managing collection acquisition and organization, refining workflows, and ensuring that the library’s digital and physical resources meet academic and research demands. This role also involves reviewing and making decisions related to resource allocation, coordinating interdepartmental projects, and identifying opportunities for operational improvements. The Senior General Coordinator may provide mentorship to junior team members and collaborate across departments to ensure seamless service delivery. The position demands strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of library operations, and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and academic needs. The Senior General Coordinator may contribute to policy development, optimize existing library services, and be the primary authority on certain programs or projects within the library.
