Position Summary

The Academic Supervisor within Registrar Services plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility of critical academic records and enrollment functions for the university. As part of the Student Services and Enrollment Services teams, this position supervises frontline staff who support student registration, enrollment verification, degree progress tracking, transcript processing, and records maintenance. The supervisor ensures that services are student-focused, policy-compliant, and contribute to a seamless academic journey for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. This role supports the day-to-day operations of the registrar’s office by coordinating team workflows, monitoring service delivery, and responding to inquiries from students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. The Academic Supervisor also plays an integral role in training and onboarding new staff, resolving escalated issues, and helping to implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency. Through regular collaboration with financial aid, admissions, academic advising, and other university departments, the supervisor helps ensure data integrity and timely communication around key academic milestones such as registration, grading, and graduation. At the M1 level in the academic administration and management track, the Academic Supervisor is responsible for guiding a team of administrative and technical staff, setting daily priorities, and fostering a collaborative and service-oriented work environment. The supervisor provides input on performance management, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures that team goals align with institutional standards and compliance requirements. This role requires strong attention to detail, a deep understanding of academic and enrollment processes, and the ability to lead with professionalism, accountability, and a student-first mindset.
