Position Summary

The Academic Director within Registrar Services provides high-level leadership and strategic oversight for all functions related to student academic records, enrollment, registration, degree certification, and academic policy implementation. Positioned within Student Services and Enrollment Services, this role ensures that registrar operations support the academic integrity, compliance, and student success goals of the institution. The director guides the delivery of student-centered services that are accurate, timely, and aligned with university policies and regulatory requirements such as FERPA and accreditation standards. This position leads the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the effectiveness of registrar services, including process innovation, data integrity, and the use of technology to streamline academic operations. The Academic Director collaborates closely with university leadership, faculty, and administrative units—such as academic advising, financial aid, and admissions—to facilitate academic progression and graduation readiness across undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs. The director also ensures the accurate reporting of institutional data and supports the university’s compliance with internal audits and external reporting obligations. At the M3 level of academic administration and leadership, the Academic Director is responsible for setting long-term goals, managing budgets, and directing a team of managers and staff. The director provides vision and oversight for staffing, training, and performance, and serves as a key advisor to senior leadership on academic policy and enrollment management issues. This role requires a visionary, collaborative leader who can drive innovation, uphold academic standards, and lead a high-performing team to deliver critical services that impact the entire student body and academic enterprise.
