Student Financial Services
Student Financial Services provides financial aid eligibility and application counseling and assists in the administration of financial aid programs, which may include scholarship programs. Works with students and families to provide financial education, explain loan repayment options, terms, and conditions for private, institutional, state, and federal financial aid programs.

Position Summary

The Academic Supervisor within Student Financial Services is responsible for overseeing daily operations related to financial aid and scholarship programs, providing direct supervision to a team of administrative and technical staff. This role ensures that financial aid counseling, eligibility assessments, and the disbursement of funds are efficiently managed while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies. The supervisor plays a critical role in enhancing the delivery of services to students and their families, guiding them through financial aid processes, and educating them on loan repayment, scholarship opportunities, and financial planning. The supervisor coordinates the workflow and scheduling for the team, ensuring all financial aid services are provided in a timely and accurate manner. This includes overseeing the processing of financial aid applications, communicating with students regarding their financial aid status, and ensuring that staff are well-trained on federal and state regulations. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, as the supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all financial data is properly recorded and that students receive the necessary guidance to make informed decisions about financing their education. In addition to day-to-day operations, the Academic Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing development of staff through training, performance evaluations, and coaching. The supervisor works to create an environment that promotes collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring that the team meets its goals and provides excellent service to students and their families. Reporting to higher-level leadership, the supervisor also assists in setting operational goals, monitoring progress, and contributing to the strategic direction of Student Financial Services. This position is key to ensuring a smooth, supportive experience for students navigating the financial aspects of their academic journey.
