Health Education and Outreach is responsible for the health of the student and employee population, decreasing the impact of illnesses and diseases by encouraging healthy behavior through education and outreach. Provides health-related education guidelines, encouragement and support to individuals, while holding them accountable for achieving their health goals.

Position Summary

The Senior Academic Coordinator within Health Education and Outreach is a leadership role responsible for overseeing and advancing health education initiatives aimed at promoting wellness and healthy behaviors among students and employees. This position requires extensive experience and education in health education, program management, and outreach. The Senior Academic Coordinator will play a key role in strategizing, planning, and executing health-related programs, ensuring that these initiatives are aligned with the institution’s goals for student wellness and public health. They will also mentor and guide junior staff while working collaboratively with other departments to enhance the effectiveness of health education efforts. In this senior role, the Academic Coordinator will be responsible for managing complex health education campaigns and outreach programs, with a particular focus on reducing the impact of preventable illnesses and diseases. They will develop and deliver educational materials, workshops, and events that encourage healthy lifestyle choices and provide support for the campus community in meeting their health goals. Additionally, the Senior Academic Coordinator will play a pivotal role in evaluating the outcomes of health education programs, using data to make recommendations for continuous improvement and to ensure programs are meeting the needs of students and employees effectively. The Senior Academic Coordinator will serve as an expert in the field of health education, providing leadership and guidance to other team members and facilitating cross-departmental collaboration. They will also have significant autonomy in managing and coordinating various projects, allowing them to influence key decision-making processes related to student wellness.
